Gwendolyn LaCroix, PMHNP-BC

Board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner Gwendolyn LaCroix, PMHNP-BC, is proud to provide mental health services to patients of all ages, from 5-99 years of age. Gwen works out of the Monroe, Michigan, office of Pure Psychiatry of Michigan. 

Gwen was educated both in England and the United States and completed her Master's degree at Wayne State. She was a paramedic for the City of Detroit for many years before becoming a nurse in the psychiatric inpatient setting and then a nurse practitioner. Gwen has a passion for mental health, and she loves working with children, teens, adults, and older adults. 

As a nurse practitioner, Gwen has gained vast experience in partial hospitalization, substance use disorder treatment, and outpatient settings. She offers both medication management and therapy in various modalities based on her patients' needs.

Her special interests include obsessive-compulsive disorders, bipolar disorders, depression, schizophrenia disorders, personality disorders, and grief. She is also passionate about working with children and adolescents.
